In September 1976, singerbassist John Wetton formerly of the British Psychedelic band Family with Roger Chapman and Rick Grech and drummer Bill Bruford, both alumni of King Crimson, worked on forming a band with Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman. The project was stopped by Wakeman's label. Released March 1978. More U. Danger Money. The debut album from amalgamated progsters John Wetton, Bill Bruford, Eddie Jobson, and Allan Holdsworth has the edge over both Danger Money and Night After Night because of the synthesis of melody and rhythm that is inflicted through nearly every one of the eight tracks. While not as commercial sounding as Wetton's 1980s supergroup Asia, U. mustered up a progressive air by the use of intelligent keyboard and percussion interplay without sounding mainstream. The LP sold just over 250,000 copies by 1 September 1978, with further sales thru the balance of the year. UK 3 - U. Retrieved 2009-10-04. DPRP : Counting Out Time : UK - UK.
