Full Circle is the eighth studio album by the American rock band the Doors, released in August 1972. It is the second album after Jim Morrison's death, and the last they completed until the 1978 album An American Prayer. The album includes The Mosquito, the last Doors single to chart. The band's first album without Jim Morrison, 1971's Other Voices, had reached 31 on the Billboard chart, showing the group could survive Morrison's death. The band now a trio consisting of keyboardist Ray Manzarek. Full Circle - The Doors. Full Circle is the second album released by The Doors after Jim Morrison's death, and also their last album together before they broke up. The album included the last hit single by the band The Mosquito. Keyboardist Ray Manzarek and guitarist Robby Krieger took Morrison's place as lead singer. Also, unlike their earlier work, bassists were collaboratively used on every track. Full Circle 1972 is definitely an appropriate name for this last project of original material to be issued under the Doors moniker. After the loss of Jim Morrison the previous year, the remaining trio culled their respective ideas - some of which had been gathering dust in anticipation of Morrison's reappearance. Ultimately, the album made it into the Top 40 rock survey less than six months after L. Woman 1971 - the Doors' final studio release with Morrison. While there are a handful of undeniably remarkable cuts scattered throughout, Full Circle is increasingly sporadic and less focused than its predecessor. It is the second album after Jim Morrisons death, and the last they compiled until the 1978 album An American Prayer. The album includes The Mosquito , the last Doors single to chart. Full Circle Q&A. The Doors - Full Circle review: Despite being a bit of an improvement over Other Voices, Full Circle is still nothing special. Full Circle is certainly more consistent than the album that predated it, but at the same time, it just isnt. What I mean by this is the way the album flows is incredibly awkward, as it seems like the songs were simply cherry picked without any actual thought into how they sound side by side. The big difference that I already mentioned is the fact that this record is much jazzier than Other Voices, but the overall sound is way too hollow and commercial to be anything special.
