Train is the 1998 self-titled debut album from the band Train. The album was self-produced for 25,000 and three singles from the album were released. The first single released, Free, was largely a hit on rock stations. The second, Meet Virginia, peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100, and the third single from the album was I Am. The album has been certified Platinum by the RIAA. All tracks are written by Train. Take the 'A' Train is a jazz standard by Billy Strayhorn that was the signature tune of the Duke Ellington orchestra. The use of the Strayhorn composition as the signature tune was made necessary by a ruling in 1940 by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers ASCAP. When ASCAP raised its licensing fees for broadcast use, many ASCAP members, including Ellington, could no longer play their compositions over radio, as most music was played live on radio at the time. Ellington turned. Train-Train トレイントレイン, Torein Torein is the third album released by the Japanese band The Blue Hearts. They had released one single as an independent group, making this the sixth single overall. Though the single version and album version of the song were cut from the same take, the single version does not include the train sounds or the blues harp and drums that are played at the beginning of the album version of the song. The B-side song to Train-Train was Mugon Denwa no Blues 無言電話のブルース Silent Telephone Blues. On January 22 '86 Prince assembled an album by The Flesh entitled Junk Music which consisted of the following tracks: Side one. Junk Music. The album was shelved due to the fact that Prince's time was taken up with other projects Under The Cherry Moon, Parade and The Family. Prince liked the idea of releasing an instrumental jazz-funk album under a pseudonym. He finally got round to it in '87, but renamed the project Madhouse and ditched the old Flesh tracks in favor of fresh new recordings. If a version of the song exists that is equally or more famous than the original rendition both versions are listed. For example Respect is listed as both the Otis Redding original. This chart swings all the way and is very playable by a young jazz ensemble. Arranger Vince Gassi offers a fresh take on this classic, yet captures the essence of this well-known Strayhorn composition made famous by Ellington. It's scored exactly right for younger players. not too difficult but with fun-to-play parts. With brief written solos for 1st alto sax and 1st trumpet, and easy ranges, it also has plenty of dynamics to teach
