Текст песни: Im telling myself the story of my life Stranger than song or fiction We start with the joyful mysteries Before the appearance of Trawl the Megahertz stylised as i trawl the MEGAHERTZ is an album originally released as a Paddy McAloon solo album in May 2003 on Liberty Records. It was later reissued in February 2019 on Sony Music under the Prefab Sprout name, as originally intended, with new artwork. After McAloon was rendered almost blind for a period in 1999 due to detached retinas, he was left housebound, and found comfort in listening to shortwave radio transmissions such as chat shows, phone-in programs and documentaries. This lost Prefab Sprout album, previously issued as a Paddy McAloon solo LP, finds the singer receding into a vivid dream world unlike anything in his catalog. If he had never released I Trawl the Megahertz, it might have been one of these legends: a work unlike anything else in his catalog that denies all of his strengths yet feels almost autobiographical. Newly remastered and reissued as a Prefab Sprout album-it was previously released as a McAloon solo LP in 2003 and largely ignored by both critics and the public-it now stands as one of the peaks of his strange, brilliant career. Album 2003 9 Songs. A Life of Surprises: The Best of Prefab Sprout. Steve McQueen Remastered. I Trawl the Megahertz, Paddy McAloon's first solo album, is as likely to perplex and infuriate as it is likely to stun and spellbind. Grand, heavily orchestrated, predominantly instrumental, and not the type of thing you put on prior to going out or when you're in the mood for cleaning the house, the record is incredibly powerful - almost too powerful - even when held up against everything from Prefab Sprout's past. Listen free to Prefab Sprout I Trawl the Megahertz. I Trawl the Megahertz was originally released as a Paddy McAloon solo album in May 2003 on Liberty Records. It was reissued in February 2019 on Sony Music as a Prefab Sprout album, as originally intended, with new cover artwork. Prefab Sprout are an English pop band from Witton Gilbert, County Durham formed in 1976, who rose to fame during the 1980s. Though critically acclaimed, and considered by many to have relea read more. I Trawl The Megahertz was originally a solo album released back in 2003 from Prefab Sprouts main man Paddy McAloon. It was a strong test of courage from Paddy, after he was diagnosed with a debilitating medical condition which seriously affected his eyesight. I am not over-reaching when I say I Trawl The Megahertz contains some of the most heart-breaking, soul aching music youll ever hear, and just this opening track alone, with its haunting tones will stick with you until the end of listening and beyond. This is song writing genius in full flow. Skilfully woven together. Throughout the album there is an ethereal ambience. From around 4th February 2019 Rough Trade's website reported that The LPX2 is currently off sale due to a manufacturing fault. Updates will follow. I've been meaning listening to this album for since March but i always had something else to do and then just forgot about it but now,the entire album as beautiful as it is carried by the first track 22 Minutes of spoken word that has interesting passages, the rest of the album is so good aswell but i think that the

Picked up my replacements today and on first listen, the problems with Side A seem to have been fixed. *phew*
Repressings now out. I exchanged mine this weekend but yet to play it.
Interested to learn if your copy is OK. RT website still says off production, but only for the 2LP+/
Must've lucked out because my copy has no issues whatsoever, but it's really unfortunate that this didn't turn out good for most.
I am also lucky - my copy is perfect too with no issues whatsoever.
Heartbreaking that this phenomenal album, and a limited run at that, was MARRED by shoddy production/pressing issues. It's rare we even get to hear/see Paddy.
After a long twist/turn journey where I thought I got one of the new pressings but instead bought the warped one, it's all fixed and I now have the right stuff (thanks, Amoeba!)
My white vinyl copy has faint non sounding scratch on side c. Also first disc is slightly warped but doesn't effect playback but yes static on last minutes of track.
I 'just' have the static at the end of side A. That's pretty annoying but seems like I've got off lightly compared to the warping and off-centre presses. Sounds like the black vinyl is plagued with problems too.
Phallozs Dwarfs
Direct from Rough Trade..."Some Disc 1s are quite warped and on side C there is a noticeable scratch on some."Happy to say that my copy is absolutely fine.
I understand that most -if not all- of these have been pressed off-centre (this is the "manufacturing fault" the Rough Trade site refers to). Hopefully there will be a re-press, otherwise save your money.
Silver Globol
From the Rough Trade site today (4th of Feb19):*The LPX2+ is currently off sale due to a manufacturing fault. Updates will follow*
Seems a few folk (including myself) are having problems with the end of side 1. Some serious popping going on.
Anyone know what the etching is or have a pic please
As of release date, the download quality is - disappointingly - 128kbps with the vinyl. Bah.
