Final Nail Easily the most negative hardcore album of all time, CADAVER DOG's debut LP showcases Denver one-man-army James Trejo as he flies off the handle like no one else-a visionary single-handedly shaping hardcore into what it should have always been. Dying Breed unleashes a savage musical assault, dialed to astounding levels of ferocity. Spoken word first kicked off with the American Beat Poet movement that took place in the 1940s and 1950s. This saw a group of authors in New York using their work to exploring and influence the American culture of the time. Venting their frustrations with society, these poets started a tradition that has continued for many years, moving into the 1970s with punk poets like the UK's John Cooper Clarke and famed dub poet Linton Kwesi Johnson, all the way up to today, where new social issues have brought upon a completely new era of spoken word. Linton Kwesi Johnson. Words for the Dying is the twelfth solo studio album by Welsh musician John Cale, released in 1989 by record labels Opal and Warner Bros. The album consists mainly of oral work, read or sung by Cale. It was written in 1982 as a response to the Anglo-Argentinian Falklands War, using poems written by fellow Welshman Dylan Thomas. There are also two orchestral interludes, two other solo piano pieces Songs Without Words, and finally a song by Cale, The Soul of Carmen Miranda. the first 3 minutes of track one from my brand new forthcoming concept album. One of my favorite punk records from the Midwest. The other reviewer has it pretty right; there's an early Meat Puppets meets DRI meets Die Kreuzen thing going on, intentionally or not. I don't know how else to describe it. I asked around about reissuing it but the tapes were lost following the deaths of the singer and lead guitarist. RIP.

No wonder where Crazy Spirit took influence, but these lads can still give em a run for their money. Good album, there's a heavy metal feel here and there, but the overall weirdness won't make you being too disturbed about it
