Issued as a 'dividend' release, offered at a low price (15 shillings) for World Record Club members who had bought one LP or more in the previous 12 months. It was available until July 1962, then reissued in March 1963 (possibly with different addresses on the back). By 1962, the Light Music Club had been merged back into the World Record Club, and existed in name only. Nonetheless, the name and logo of the World Record Club do not appear anywhere on the sleeve or labels. Not issued in stereo.

I've Never Been in Love Before. It Might as Well Be Spring. A Tree in the Meadow. He's Funny That Way. A Wonderful Guy. Come Rain or Come Shine. Love Songs by Margaret Whiting is an early Capitol album that collects an assortment of hits and non-hits going all the way back to her mid-'40s days with Billy Butterfield. Paul Weston and Frank DeVol also take turns conducting the various orchestras that support Whiting and her bell-clear vocals, which eschew flash and gimmicks for sensitive interpretation. Oddly, Moonlight in Vermont is the 1945 version she recorded with Butterfield, not the remake that became a hit the year this album was released. Margaret Eleanor Whiting July 22, 1924 January 10, 2011 was a singer of American popular music and country music who first made her reputation during the 1940s and 1950s.
