Featuring engineer Bob Blank's wife Lola with the cutesy, totally out-there vocals, this is a typically leftfield piece of work from Russell on the tiny Jump Street label. It's been called proto-house, and it is, but its really got all the influences of underground dance music at that time. All mixes are essential, but Jon's Dub probably steals it with its nice piano riff towards the end. I bought this year (2020) several 12" vinyl (all reissue from 2017 2018 2019 of classics on demand 80's boogie/funk/house - issued by US or italian record compagny)
and a few have a kind of 'mastering issue':
before the track starts, the background noise (kind of vrombrism) heard, so the beginning part of the record where there is normally no sound or just a 'little brrr background'
is higher than the noise usually present on any vinyl mastered and pressed on the 80's 90's 00's
this background noise continues for rest of the record, but the music covers it (rather well)
Here are a few vinyl concerned:

This release has the issue, but frankly less:

Globally, this will not frustrate a standerd listener, but if you search for an audiophile hearing, you will be hindered
once the music starts, it may be acceptable

Those releases have not this issue (more or less the background noise of the huge majority of vinyls) :
