The Sundog cut is absolutely next level ahead of it's time business - excellent mastering here!

Techno Por Favor is a lesser known - hidden in a compilation - beauty from the Detroit techno music history. That's what makes this release so special: It will enhance your knowledge of the seminal Detroit sound ! And therefore I am so happy I discovered this one. And what a great idea to "preserve" this music on an great remastered 12" vinyl. Also Sundog sounds better than ever. Inspired by the comments, and besides (1) Juan - Techno Music and (2) Techno Music (M500 version) here some more suggestions for Detroit002 in this new series:From the same Techno 2: The Next Generation compilation: (3) KGB - Stark. From the first classic 1988 compilation: Techno! The New Dance Sound Of Detroit: (4) K.S. Experience - Electronic Dance, (5) Mia - Spark, and with an official pressing (6) Blake Baxter - Forever and a DayFrom the other Techno 1 compilation from 1989 on KMS: (7) Seperate Minds - 1st Bass. From the 1998 Innovator compilation: (8) Dreams of Dreamers by Derrick May / Rhythim is Rhythim. But writing this I allready know I am forgetting much more titles...

It's about time Techno Por Favor had its own independent release. Only 28 years late! Better very late than never. Can't have such a classic only available on a compilation, however classic those comps are. One of my favourites from that album. Received a nice clean copy last week and am very contented. Now for Juan Atkins' other exclusive on the previous Techno comp, Techno Music. Love if that was released aswell.

Agree, it would have been great to get "Techno Music" on the flipside. No disrespect to Reel By Real - "Sundog" but it has been readily available since 2010 on the Reel By Real ‎– "20 Years Surkit" 2x12" which was repressed again last year.

We should also mention that 'Techno Por Favor' was co written with James "Suburban Knight" Pennington, one Durrant (his only one writing credit to date) and is mixed by Eddie "Flashin'" Fowlkes, just in case anyone thinks this is solely a Juan Atkins track (Hmmm, I wonder why they didn't include the writing credits?). But pleased that you're happy with your new 12" copy...at last!As for 'Techno Music' receiving its own 12" in the near future? Juan can only hope mate! But did you know it was actually tapped to receive its very own 12" release in January, 1989 on Ten/10 Records? God only knows why it never came to fruition. It was actually also mentioned in a Juan Atkins interview in the December '88 edition of Music Technology magazine. They also talked about Juan doing his very own Model 500 remix for the flip side, and this rare and pretty much unknown remix is, apparently, the version that you can find on the Model 500 - 'Classics' compilation on R & S records from 1993. Now I would expect you to be more than familiar with this version (?), but it would indeed be great to have the original and the remix side by side on one 12" one day. But let's just hope we don't have to wait another 28 years!!
