Ignacy Jan Paderewski 1860-1941, piano. Recorded in the early 1920's, when Paderewski was about 60 years old, the sound quality is far beyond the acoustic recording techniques of the day. His performance was captured on an Aeolian Company DUO-ART reproducing piano. Unlike a basic player piano, the DUO-ART was capable of a recording that duplicated the actual performance with all dynamics and nuances intact. This recording was made in the early 1960's using a DUO-ART equipped 1929 Steinway and issued in 1966 by Everest Records as part. Ignacy Jan Paderewski November 6, 1860 - June 29, 1941 was a Polish pianist, composer, diplomat and politician, and the third Prime Minister of Poland. He is sometimes referred to by the German version of his name Ignaz Paderewski.
