It was originally released in 1957, four months after its predecessor, Bluejean Bop. It was released on the Capitol label. It was re-released on CD in 2002. Cliff Gallup and rhythm guitarist, Willie Williams, had left The Blue Caps in the summer of 1956. Early life: His parents, Ezekiah Jackson and Mary Louise Craddock, were shop owners in Norfolk, Virginia. He grew up in Virginia under the influence of country, Rhythm and Blues and Gospel music.
