The Best of Free: All Right Now is a 1991 album by the band Free. All the tracks on this album were remixed by Bob Clearmountain. On 18 February 1991, the album was awarded a silver certification by the BPI, for UK album sales of over 60,000 units. The album entered the UK Albums Chart on 2 March 1991, it reached number 9 and stayed in the charts for 9 weeks. All Right Now is a rock single by the English rock band Free. The song, released in mid-1970, hit 2 on the UK singles chart, 4 on US Billboard chart. It originally appeared on the album Fire And Water. In 1991, the song was remixed and re-released, reaching 8 on the UK singles chart. All Right Now has been a 1 hit in over 20 countries and in 1990 was recognised by ASCAP American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers for garnering 1,000,000 plus radio plays in the U. by late 1989. In 2000, The Multi-Million Award was given to Paul read more. Naturally, it features the hits All Right Now and Fire and Water, as well as a few semi-hits, but, overall, this is just another run of the mill compilation. There are also noticeable exclusions on this release, including two highlights from the band's superb debut album, which render All Right Now somewhat below par. Quite why this was ever seen as a needed release by Island is a mystery when there are six compilations of Free available, is it even less worthwhile. All Right Now was well received amongst Frees fellow musical peers, with Steve Miller later admitting that the intro to Rock N Me was a nod to Free guitarist Paul Kossoff and the soon to be famous intro from All Right Now. The inspiration was karmic, because both tunes had been born out of a desire to inject a heavy dosage of rock into an otherwise mid-tempo set. They needed a number to get the audiences on their feet and All Right Now, with a healthy helping of cowbell added in, proved to be just what the doctor ordered. All right Now. and Paul's voice shine like a jewel in a strippers navel. from there Paul formed Bad Co, world wide success , i dont think i need to speak of the many songs he wrote with Bad Co.
