You Can Be Special Too is the debut album of Evil Nine. It was released on 2 August 2004 on Marine Parade Records. The album includes four skits containing a variety of samples. Tracks 12 and 13 are mislabeled on the album. The song Restless actually plays on track 13 and Even the Smells plays on track 12. It is unknown what order the tracks were meant to appear on the album. The correct times are listed below according to the track name - but not the number. Overall, You Can Be Special Too offers a bracing and welcome corrective to the idea that pop music has to fit in a category. Highly recommended. Evil Nine have done a nice production with their first album. Despite of being from 2004, there is definitely a 90s vibe into it. I have discovered these guys in the first Community Service mix of The Crystal Method thanks to the song Cake Hole. In the case of You Can Be Special Too, like the American duo, breakbeat is the main style used in this gem, however there are another musical universes such as hip-hop in Crooked & Pearl Shot, scratches in Snack Bar Lounge and trip-hop in You Are Not Through. Unfortunately, the station stopped broadcasting. Perhaps, this is a temporary station problem. You can leave your e-mail and we will let you know when the broadcast of the station will be online again: Or listen to the other . Affiliated with Adam Freeland's Marine Parade label, Evil Nine draws inspiration from a range of musical styles to create a diverse electronic dance style of their own that is driven by breakbeats and often incorporates vocals.
