This album was released after The Byrds' 1973 reunion album, on which all five founding members of the group participated in the sessions. McGuinn himself has stated that any outtakes left over from those sessions appeared here, but this was later proven to be false with the discovery of several alternate takes and at least one outtake in late 2009. The majority of the songs on the album were co-written with Jacques. Great Version Bob Dylan 30th Anniv of 1st album, 1992 Crimson flames tied through my ears Rollin' high and mighty traps Pounced with fire on McGuinn: I did see Dylan at Gerdes and the ladies liked him. He was good but it was before he started writing his own material. I was still wearing traditional clothes and had short hair although I started growing it out after hearing the Beatles. But we were folk singers and that came to the surface when we did a Bob Dylan song. PKM: Youre all performing in suits with suede collars, cribbed from the Beatles but youre wearing tinted granny glasses. How did you come up with that look. Roger McGuinn: The Notorious Byrd Brothers album is my favorite. PKM: Now the band is down to you and Chris. So, you hire Chris cousin and Gram Parsons and put them on salary. Bob Dylan is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, released on March 19, 1962 by Columbia Records. Produced by Columbia's legendary talent scout John H. Hammond, who signed Dylan to the label, the album features folk standards, plus two original compositions, Talkin' New York and Song to Woody. Hester had invited. Bob Dylan's first album of new material in eight years makes up for lost rhyme with songs that are funny, fascinating, elusive and epic. Both the album and his 60-year career are effectively summarized in the title of the opening track, I Contain Multitudes. The line is taken from Walt Whitman, but even by that poets multiple personae-encouraging standards, Dylans attitude toward life as a near octogenarian is an almost hilariously slippery, constantly self-contradictory thing. And Dylan is the unquestioned star, the magnetic, assured center of the sprawl. At one point, in their duets, Baez wore the same makeup as Dylan, an impish blurring of identity as they revisited their mid-Sixties bond as vocal and romantic partners. You and former Byrd Chris Hillman are teaming up with Marty Stuart for a U. tour that pays tribute to the Byrds Sweetheart of the Rodeo album, which turns 50 this fall. What about the tour are you looking forward to most -Jules Santorelli. I actually played all the instruments on the album except for that one song. Then we added seven other songs wed written, plus another one thats really funny called Friday, which has an interesting back story. Theres this girl named Rebecca Black
