Info

Feels is the sixth studio album by Baltimore-based band Animal Collective, released in October 2005 by FatCat Records. The album received acclaim from music critics, and was included at number 55 on Pitchfork's list of The 200 Best Albums of the 2000s. As of 2008, Feels sold 55,000 copies in the US. Feels is known for its unconventional guitar sounds, which were obtained in part by the unique tuning the band used. Geologist explained how they created and used this tuning on the Collected Animals. Feels - Animal Collective. Like Animal Collective's previous full length, Feels is sequenced carefully, with jauntier, tuneful numbers leading to an amorphous back half. The two transitional songs in the record's middle, Bees and Banshee Beat, are among the best things Animal Collective has done. Animal Collective's signature approach to composition- in which open chords are strummed repeatedly for longer than seems necessary to create a unique sense of tension relieved only by vocal chants and howls- finds its apotheosis over these eight minutes. Initial copies contained a bonus disc of live material. It also appeared at 55 on Pitchfork Media's top 200 albums of the 2000s decade. Feels' is their poppy guitar based album where 'Strawberry Jam' is their trippy electronic album. Feels' is one of the most consistently amazing throughout albums I have ever heard on my life. Special shoutout to 'Banshee Beat', my all time top Animal Collective track. kalıcı bağlantı. Feels by Animal Collective, released 16 October 2005 1. Did You See The Words 2. Grass 3. Flesh Canoe 4. Feels is undoubtedly a very varied and beautifully flowing album. A dazzling ride from start to finish, Feels pushes Animal Collectives challenging and changing agenda on to the next level, and confirms the bands place as one of the most ambitious and forward-thinking modern bands. released October 16, 2005. While critics found it easy to lump Animal Collective in with the freak folk scene after the strumming madness of Sung Tongs, Feels may cause them to revise their opinions - slightly. First, this is more of a rock record, especially early on the frequent cymbal crashes and pounding drums leave little doubt. Second, Feels has less of the aimless meandering of many artists in the freak folk scene. Animal Collective certainly have been busy. Releasing their last album, Sung Tongs in early 2004, Animal Collective have since released another EP as well as their latest album, Feels. Although Sung Tongs often felt like it could have used a bit more work, Feels is probably the best record that Animal Collective have made yet. Including plenty of the freaky folk jamming that dominated Sung Tongs, Feels also includes some very catchy indie rock tunes like 'Grass' and 'Did You See The Words'. Grass' is the first single from the record and probably one of the funnes
